In this tutorial I´m going to tell you something about proxies and VPNs.
1. Basic information about a proxy
2. How to setup a proxy and a VPN
1. Basic information about proxies and VPNs
Proxy´s full concept is a proxy server. It is usually another computer system but it can also be an application.
The first problem of proxies is that they only hide your surfing trough internet, not all the traffic like downloading etc.
The second problem is that they slow down your connection because you have to connect to the server and then to the target.
Image this (Yeah i know, it´s a stupid comparison xD):
Without "proxy": You throw an apple to your friend who is standing 10 meters from you. It takes like 2 seconds.
While using "proxy": You have to throw the apple to your friend (A) who is standing 5m from you, and then your friend
(A) has to throw the apple to your friend (B) who is standing 10m from you. That takes about 5 seconds.
The point is, with the proxy every task in the internet takes more time than without the proxy.
There are two types of proxies. Type 1: Forward proxy.
Forward proxies are avaible all over the world. They are commonly open proxies and you can choose
from tens or even hundreds of thousands of open proxies from all over the world.
This is the type I am going to use in the tutorial since it is sooo easy to setup and you can find open proxies from anywhere.
This represents the forward proxy.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Reverse proxies are used for better anononymity because they are SSL (secure sockets layer) secured.
There are more reasons but I think this is the one that interests you.
(I am not going to show how to setup serverse proxy but you can just google it.
It happens with Apache)
This is better option than open proxies since they don´t have the SSL accerlation hardware.
When using a reverse proxy, you will create an internal network. Who ever is
making request to me (when I´m using a reverse proxy) they aren´t aware of my internal
network so they think they are speaking to me, actually they are just speaking to my proxy server.
This represents the reverse proxy.

2.1 How to setup a proxy server
In this tutorial you will learn how to change a proxy server manually.
Usually it´s done with a program (I recommend Proxy switcher standard)
First we are going to find a proxy server. Navigate to there --> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Now you will see the options before the actual proxy servers.
The picture below shows you what are the best options for the search.
After selecting those, press update.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Now you will see proxy servers. There are information about the proxies:
Last update, IP address etc. just make sure that the speed bar and
the connection time bar are almost full. I will be using a proxy from Brazil.
(The proxy has pretty good speed and connection time)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Now you are going to find proxy settings from your browser.
It might take some time since the settings
are placed in different places in different browsers. I´ll be using google chrome.
I am too lazy to write every part. Just figure it out how to set it up, shouldn´t be a problem.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Check if your proxy server was succesfully setted up -->[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Now you have succesfully setted up a proxy server and you are able to surf anonymously.
NOTE: I am not responsible in any circumstances if you are going to hack NASA´s website etc. and you don´t understand that a proxy isn´t nearly enough to cover your ass!
2.2 How to setup a VPN (Virtual private network)
This is more secure and better way to surf anonymously.
Setting up a VPN is also faster but getting one is harder. VPNs usually
costs but you can find free ones too. PM me if you want a link to a nice guys
thread who is giving them out for free. Once you get a VPN, you notice that
it´s better. First, they are private (usually) so no one else is going to use
the same VPN as you. Every time you set up a new proxy, you have to get a
new one. VPN is probally workin for months, maybe years. VPN is also very
fast to reconnect once you have setted it up. Now to the tutorial part.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Now you are ready to use a VPN . If you have any problems setting these up, just PM me!
Thank me if I helped!
